Abhishek Bachchan, it's so good to see you in Manmarziyaan
If you missed AB at the movies then this news will definitely get you cheering for him! Abhishek‘s last release was the superhit Housefull 3. But that was 2016 and the film was a multi-starrer. Abhishek took a short break before saying yes to Manmarziyaan and we are glad he did that. That’s because his turbaned look from the film has made us say WOW! It made us realise how much we missed him on the big screen. We have been waiting for him to return on the big screen as a performer… someone we loved to hate in Yuva or cheered for in Guru or despised in Raavan.
Let us define further why we are so kicked to see Abhishek Bachchan in the film. Personally speaking, when I saw Abhishek in Yuva, I hated him. He is merciless in the film, a hitman who will just do anything for his dada (Sonu Sood). He doesn’t even let his wife he dotes on, deter him from his profession. The conviction with which he played the role gave me goosebumps. Honestly, I was surprised to see Abhishek in such a role which he aced without flinching. That’s when I knew he is a fab actor who deserves better films. Later, he did Guru and everyone realised what Abhishek is capable of. Even in Bunty Aur Babli, he was completely believable as a thug along with Rani Mukerji. Then there’s Bluffmaster which we aren’t sure if many from this generation have watched although it was a successful film. He played the suave con who gets conned by his best friend. All these will make you accept the fact that Abhishek can give a lot more to a film than just be a towering figure in it.
It’s really refreshing to see him in a look which is intense. Manmarziyan is directed by Anurag Kashyap which makes us believe he will extract the best from his actors. It also has Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles, but Abhishek might just stand out here.
