Are you excited to see Varun Dhawan as a warrior in Ranbhoomi?
Must say, we are really impressed with the kind of films Varun Dhawan is lining up for the coming years. I mean, if he’s playing a dark character in Shoojit Sircar’s next October then he also has Sui Dhaaga where he’ll be seen essaying the role of a tailor alongside Anushka Sharma. But just when we thought that was about it, here comes yet another surprise with Karan Johar and Shashank Khaitan’s Ranbhoomi with Varun playing a warrior in this one. Yes, while reports are rife that Ranbhoomi is going to be an out and out revenge drama. Varun just confirmed his role in the film with his tweet saying, “#RANNBHOOMI. Diwali 2020. A warrior will rise.@karanjohar@ShashankKhaitan. How thrilled are you to see Varun as the warrior?
Not to mention, this is the first time Varun will be seen stepping out as warrior and we think he’s really going to ace this move. In fact, we are already dying to check out his transformation that he’ll probably get for the role.
When the director Shashank was asked to talk about Ranbhoomi, he said “Rannbhoomi is a warrior film, which showcases love, relationships, sacrifices, revenge, and heroism. I remember, I began developing it in December 2015 and shared the idea with Varun, who got excited about it. Now, Karan has given us the wings to fly and we are excited to turn this dream into a reality.” Varun too added on to the excitement saying, “Our association has always been successful and magical, and we decided to take our alliance further and create a mammoth spectacle. Dharma is home for the both of us, and what better team than this to collaborate on a Diwali celebration? Rannbhoomi is an ambitious film with a beating heart.”
