Mohanlal’s first look from Nivin Pauly’s Kayakulam Kochunni is out and as usual the superstar has hit the mark

Moahnlal's makeover for Kayakulam Kochunni is all kinds of awesome.

Time and again, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has earned the moniker of the ‘Complete actor ‘. From a thug to a musician to con-man to a carpenter to  a psychiatrist  – the actor has done it all. And now in his latest project, the actor has managed to wow us again with his first look from Kayakulam Kochunni. The actor has taken on a rugged makeover for this role. The unkempt beard and the handlebar mustache add the right kind of drama. And that cheeky wink, completes it. He is all set to play Ithikkara Pakki, legendary highwayman Kochunni’s close friend. He plays a crucial although brief role in the film. Everyone is going gaga over the avatar! The first look has obviously got fans excited about this project.

It was two days ago that Mohanlal joined the sets of Kayakulam confirming his presence in the film. It was a dream come true for the members on the set, they welcomed Mohanlal with a cake. The film is about a well know highwayman who would steal from the rich and distribute among the poor. The film is set in the 19th century around the time the British Raj were ruling. The film focuses on Kochunni’s relationships and his fight against the caste system that was prevalent around that time. Nivin Pauly is training in horse riding and Kalaripayattu for this film. The movie was to star Amala Paul but she had to opt out because of date issues. The actress has now been replaced by Priya Anand.

The film will is directed Rosshan Andrrews and has been written by Bobby & Sanjay. Do tell us how did you like the Mohanlal’s first look from the film?
