Trisha has signed her next!

As we await the release of her Malayalm debut, Hey Jude tomorrow, Trisha has already confirmed signing on a new project! Via a poster, the official announcement was made today. The film is titled Kuttrappayirchi. The movie will be directed by Verniq, who formerly worked with a Bala, a National Award winning director. Trisha will be playing a private detective, someone on the lines of Ranjana Pandit, India’s first female detective. The movie is based on a true events. As per reports the film will set in 1980 and will follow the sequence of events post a murder. What makes this movie even more special is that Trisha will be the first female actress to play a detective in Tamil cinema. In the past we have had only male leads play detective but looks like times are changing!  The film also star Surbhi and Super Subbarayan. Radhan who composed the music for Arjun Reddy will be part of this film as well.

In other news, her Malayalm debut is all set to hit theatres tomorrow. Hey Jude is an unusual take on relationships and love, a project helmed by Shyam Prasad. The movie promises to be an out of the box love story that will give us a different perspective to love! She has quite a few other films lined up – ’96 opposite Vijay sethupathi  that is touted to be a love story! 1818, a film base don the Mumbai terror attacks, Garjanai, a  a south remake of NH10, Mohini, a comedy horror film. She also has Sathuranga Vettai 2 opposite Arvind Swamy.

The actress is sure ona  role is consciously picking women centric roles. Rcently the actress complete 165 years in the industry. Wishes were pouring in on social media regarding  the splendid journey.
