After 17 years Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan are reuniting for a historical drama which will be directed by Navdeep Singh and produced by Anand L Rai
R Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan united for Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein opposite Dia Mirza in 2001 and won our hearts with its amazing concept and songs. Now, after 17 years Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan are reuniting for a historical drama which will be directed by Navdeep Singh and produced by Anand L Rai. The movie is reportedly expected to go on the floors in the first week of February in Rajasthan, which is followed by shooting schedules in Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh.
According to the reports of Mumbai Mirror, a source told them, “The shoot kicks off in Rajasthan, where the story is set, in the first week of February. Since it’s a period film, Saif and Madhavan will be training in sword-fighting and horse-riding. They will require a lot of prosthetics and the team has been working on their look for a long time. Last week, there was a final look test in Mumbai and the film is ready to roll now.” Some reports say that Mukkabaaz actress, Zoya Hussain, may be roped in as the female lead. On the other hand, rumours are rife that Deepak Dobriyal, who is known for his exceptional performances in Hindi Medium, Tanu Weds Manu is also reportedly cast in it.
Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan will be starring in Nikhil Advani directorial Bazaar which is inspired by Hollywood film, The Wolf Of Wall Street. R Madhavan is being praised for his first web series, Breathe which is streaming in Amazon Prime. According to the latest buzz, Navdeep was supposed to direct Kaneda, which is a gangster drama for Anushka Sharma’s production house featuring Anushka, Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Kapoor. But the filmmaker has reportedly opted out of it to concentrate on this film.
