One of the most anticipated films of the second half of 2018 is the Dutt biopic. The film is based on the life of one of India’s most controversial actors and Bollywood’s first rockstar, Sanjay Dutt. The shooting of the film has been wrapped up and now post-production will start soon. We know that actresses like Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza and Manisha Koirala are part of the film. However, as per some sources, it was reported that actor Jim Sarbh who plays Malik Kafur in Padmaavat is playing Salman Khan in the film. Now, this was really surprising for us, so we decided to find out the true story behind the news..
The talented actor clarified that he is not playing Salman Khan in the biopic. The past one year has been a terrific one for the theatre actor. He won accolades for his fabulous performance in Neerja where he played the terrorist. Jim was also in A Death In The Gunj where he portrayed the role of Brian. The actor is hugely popular in Mumbai’s theatre scene. He has done plays like Death of a Salesman, The Merchant of Venice, The Living Room and What’s Done is Done. Sarbh’s acting prowess has found fans even in Bollywood and one of them is his Padmaavat co-star Ranveer Singh.
Sarbh is also all praises for Ranveer. In an EXCLUSIVE conversation with us, he said, “Ranveer is an incredible costar: he is always coming to the scene with ideas, with new ways of expression, with real spirit and vigor to try to achieve everything Sanjay sir would throw at us, would want us to achieve.
