"I will surely explore the option of making Vijay sing in the album," promises A R Rahman.

Composer AR Rahman who has been signed to score the music for AR Murugadoss’ Thalapathy 62 says he would try to make Vijay sing in Thalapathy 62. Rahman has worked with Vijay in Udhaya, Azhagiya Tamizh Magan, and Mersal and he has still not lent his voice for a song under ARR’s composition.

Speaking on the sidelines of the press meet of 7Up’s ‘Netru Indru Naalai’ concert which is scheduled in Chennai on January 12th, Rahman said, “I will surely explore the option of making Vijay sing in the album. But it depends on the song. You shouldn’t push someone to do something; it’s for his movie at the end of the day. Let’s see.”

Thalapathy 62 marks ARR’s second association with filmmaker AR Murugadoss. The duo lastly teamed up for Aamir Khan’s blockbuster hit Ghajini and delivered impressive hit numbers. “I’m collaborating with Murugadoss after 10 years. He is very talented and picturizes songs very well. It’s great to be back with him after ten years. Those who want music different from the songs of Mersal will love this,” said Rahman.

ARR also congratulated Rajinikanth’s political plunge and said, “I personally feel that the State needs strong leadership. Whoever comes in, whether it is Rajinikanth or not, must cater to the needs of the people in bettering infrastructure, music and arts, and make lives better for all the farmers. I feel that kind of a miracle should happen.”

Rahman also has Mani Ratnam’s multi-starrer film in 2018, besides Thalapathy 62.
