Hema Malini wishes Dharmendra on Twitter, and it is so sweet!
It is dharmendra‘s 82nd birthday today and his Dream girl hema malini sent out warm wishes to him. Dharmendra has decided to keep away from birthday celebrations due to the demise of veteran actor Shashi Kapoor. Hema Malini took to Twitter to wish the actor with adorable throwback pictures and a sweet note. The wish will melt your heart! The love-struck Hema Malini could only wish for Dharamji’s happiness and good health. She wrote, “On Dharamji’s birthday, I pray for his happiness & good health. God bless him always🙏 Nostalgia time! One of our early fotos together😘.” She even added some more pictures giving us throwbacks from their love story.
The couple’s love story is the most interesting of all legendary couples who have been together since ages. The couple has stayed together through all the turmoils. There is an excerpt from the book Hema Malini: Beyond The Dream Girl describing all about the love story. She also opened up about her relationship with the actor in the book. “The truth was that I didn’t know what I wanted. I knew that I was attracted to him (Dharmendra) but the relationship had no future. In the beginning, we were just good friends. I enjoyed his company. We were paired opposite each other in so many films … there came a time when we were shooting together not just for days or weeks but for months. Soon, it became a habit to be with each other all the time… ‘As time passed, it became more and more impossible to describe what I felt for him, or better still define the relationship. To be honest, I never thought of marrying him. My only argument is that I didn’t fall in love consciously. It’s funny, but I always used to think that whenever I marry, it would be with someone like him. I never thought of it being him, though. It’s destiny and my fortune.”
Dharmendra started his Bollywood journey with the movie Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere. The couple did almost 28 movies together. Their love is still going strong. Dharmendra and Dream girl are a role model for all the couples out there! Happy Birthday, Dharam ji!
