Chiranjeevi begins shooting for Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy today.
Looks like 2017 is going to end on a grand note as veteran Chiranjeevi has begun shooting for his 151st project in Hyderabad today. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is the name of the film and will be produced by Ram Charan yet again. According to reports, the shooting began at 7;30 am in Hyderabad and the first scene involved the veteran actor and a few other actors. As per reports on Hindustan Times, they began shooting at an Aluminium factory. The film is being directed bu Surender Reddy who directed Ram Charan in Dhruva and according to reports on Firstpost, the budget is a whopping Rs 150 crore. Clearly, Baahubali has opened the doors for all big budget period films.
The Hindustan Times report also reveals that the veteran actor was on a special diet as he had to lose some kilos to play the freedom fighter from Rayalaseema. “He went on a crash diet under the supervision of a Bombay-based trainer who was flown down and worked closely with Chiranjeevi sir for over a month. He shed some weight and also worked out to look fit,” revealed a source as per the portal. Apart from Chiranjeevi, the film boasts of a brilliant ensemble – Amitabh Bachchan, who will be playing an extended cameo, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapathi Babu. However, unfortunmately, AR Rahman is no longer part of this project. Rumours are doing the rounds that Thaman might be brought on board.
