Thor: Ragnarok Has Already Surpassed The Indian Box Office Lifetime Collections Of The First Two Thor Movies Combined
Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Ragnarok enjoyed an outstanding opening weekend at the box office. Apart from garnering critical acclaim, the Marvel superhero flick earned handsomely at the ticket windows. The film raked in Rs 10.46 crore on its third day and now stands at the grand total of Rs 27.66 crore (Gross box office Rs 35.46 crore). Trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed the figures on his Twitter handle. He tweeted, “#ThorRagnarok Fri 7.77 cr, Sat 9.43 cr, Sun 10.46 cr. Total: ₹ 27.66 cr Nett. GrossBOC: ₹ 35.46 cr. India biz.”
The movie has already surpassed the Indian box office lifetime collections of the first two Thor movies combined. The huge fanbase of this franchise and the positive word-of-mouth has helped the film to show an upward trend on its first weekend. Apart from Chris Hemsworth’s titular character, Tom Hiddleston’s (Loki), Cate Blanchett’s (Hela), Idris Elba’s (Heimdall), Jeff Goldblum’s (Grandmaster), Tessa Thompson’s (Valkyrie) and Mark Ruffalo’s (Bruce Banner/Hulk) role received immense praise from the critics and moviegoers.
Despite receiving positive reviews, Sidharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna’s Ittefaq was clearly outperformed by Thor: Ragnarok by a huge margin at the box office. By looking at the current trend, we can surely say that the film will remain rock-steady during the weekdays. Anyway, did you like the movie? Share with us your review in the comments section below!
