Thor: Ragnarok To Cross The Rs 50 Crore Mark By Its Second Week
After enjoying an excellent opening weekend at the box office, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Ragnarok has managed hold really well on the weekdays. The superhero flick raked in collected Rs 2.54 crore yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs Rs 40.37 crore (Gross collection Rs 51.84 crore). Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collections on his twitter account, “#ThorRagnarok ends Week 1 on a FANTASTIC note… Fri 7.77 cr, Sat 9.43 cr, Sun 10.46 cr, Mon 4.10 cr, Tue 3.20 cr, Wed 2.87 cr, Thu 2.54 cr. Total: ₹ 40.37 cr Nett. GrossBOC: ₹ 51.84 cr. India biz.”
With its impressive collections, Thor: Ragnarok has already surpassed the combined lifetime business of its previous two parts at the Indian box office. Apart from Chris Hemsworth’s titular character, Tom Hiddleston’s (Loki), Cate Blanchett’s ( Hela), Idris Elba’s (Heimdall), Jeff Goldblum’s (Grandmaster), Tessa Thompson’s (Valkyrie) and Mark Ruffalo’s (Bruce Banner / Hulk) role received immense praise from the critics and moviegoers. The audience also applauded the superb direction of Taika Waititi.
Despite receiving positive reviews, Sidharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna’s Ittefaq were clearly outperformed by Thor: Ragnarok by a huge margin at the box office.
