Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal Has Entered The Rs 100 Crore Club In Just Four Days!
thalapathy vijay‘s mersal has set the cash registers ringing since it released on October 18. The film is one of the most anticipated ones of the year and looks like it has lived up to all the hype. Not only did it impress the audience, but it has been raking in the moolah at the box office too. In fact, from what we hear, Mersal has performed well in both the domestic as well as overseas market. And now, after four days, the film has managed to gross Rs 100 crore at the worldwide (domestic + overseas) box office. Isn’t that a huge achievement? As industry tracker and trade analyst – Ramesh Bala revealed on Twitter, “#Mersal has crossed Rs 100 crore gross box office collection at the world wide box office. Congratulations #Thalapathy @actorvijay , @Atlee_dir , @ThenandalFilms and Team.”
If you remember, mersal had opened to a massive day one gross collection of Rs 31.50 crore in the pan-India market. However, since day 2, the film had slowed down because of the on going festivities (Diwali). But according to trade sources, the film has recovered on day 4 (Saturday) and should post a huge number on day 5 (Sunday) too. This would give Mersal a fantastic opening weekend collection at the domestic box office. Meanwhile, the film is also performing well in the US, UK, UAE, Malaysian and Australian markets.
Thalapathy Vijay’s film has got rave reviews from both the critics as well as the audience.
