Golmaal Again Has Received A Fantastic Response From The Audiences At The Box Office
Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again has received a fantastic response from the audiences at the box office. After scoring big on Friday and Saturday, the film continued its winning streak on Sunday and raked in Rs 29.09 crores. The film currently stands with the grand total of Rs 87.60 crores. Well-known trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the official figures saying, “#GolmaalAgain Fri 30.14 cr, Sat 28.37 cr, Sun 29.09 cr. Total: ₹ 87.60 cr. India biz… OVERSEAS: $ 3.17 million [₹ 20.62 cr].”. With this kind of collections, the film has become the biggest opening weekend grosser in the Golmaal franchise and one of the highest first-weekend grossers of 2017.
Looking at the current scenario, the film is expected to enter the Rs 100 crore club by today or tomorrow. Golmaal Again, which features the ensemble cast of Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu, Tusshar Kapoor, Tabu and Parineeti Chopra has beaten the opening weekend collection of many Bollywood biggies like Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Jolly LLB 2, Judwaa 2 and Toilet – Ek Prem Katha. The collections of the film would have been even better if it didn’t have a clash with Secret Superstar, which is also performing decently well at the box office.
Since there is no big release in the coming week, Golmaal Again will enjoy a free run at the box office. The film will challenge the lifetime business of films like Raees, Kaabil and other biggies. Golmaal Again has been termed as a paisa-vasool masala entertainer by the audiences, which caters to both classes and masses. It’ll be interesting to see, whether Golmaal Again will shatter the record of Judwaa 2 to become the highest grossing Bollywood film of 2017.
