Check Out The Trailer Of Firangi
After a lot of anticipation, the trailer of FIRANGI is finally here. The film has been in the news as this is kapil sharma’s second film after Kiss Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon. It is directed by Rajiev Dhingra, who has delivered hits like Love Punjab and Angrej. Coming to the trailer, it is a comedy set during the era of the British Raj. He plays the role of the typical village bumpkin who lands up with a job in the Army. We are guessing that he has some talent to reduce pain or set bones which makes him a hit. The character’s name is Manga.
In the film, he falls in love with a desi girl played by Ishita Dutta.  All this happens at the time when the uprising against the colonial rulers is at its peak. The girl’s folks are against him terming him as a slave of the Angrej. He gets a jolt when the colonial rulers harass his village folks and decides to do something to teach them a lesson. We see his fleeting romance with Monica Gill who plays a girl with affiliation to the British. The era has been nicely recreated and we see some nice aerial shots of the palaces of Rajasthan. Ishita Dutta also does well as the simple village girl who steals Manga’s heart. There are comic moments, which is expected given it is a Kapil film.
The film also has Kumud Mishra, Edward Sonnenblick, Inaamulhaq amongst others. The trailer strikes a chord with its simplicity, humour and retro feel.
