Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal Again scores HUGE in first week; grosses over Rs 28 crore at the overseas box office

Golmaal Again Is All Set To Become Ajay Devgn's Highest Overseas Grosser Of All Time

It seems like Golmaal Again is creating a storm at the worldwide box office too along with breaking records at the domestic ticket windows. The punches of the film have received universal praise from the audience. Apart from shattering many records at the domestic market, the horror-comedy has managed to perform exceptionally well in the international markets as well. Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh tweeted the overseas collections, “#GolmaalAgain – OVERSEAS – Total till Thursday, 26 October 2017: $ 4.42 million [₹ 28.72 cr].” Despite being a masala entertainer, the film managed to clicked well with the international audience. The film, which was released in 752 screens across 50 countries, has registered a remarkable business in its opening week.

With this kind of business, Golmaal Again has already become one of the biggest Bollywood hits of 2017 in the overseas circuits. With the immense success of the film, director Rohit Shetty had earlier said, “I am overjoyed that ‘Golmaal Again’ has broken records along with spreading happiness, cheer and smiles during this Diwali. I am thankful to the audience for the success and the love they have shown to the ‘Golmaal’ series.” Even Shibasish Sarkar, Chief Operating Officer of Reliance Entertainment, shared his joy and said, “We are delighted with the response ‘Golmaal Again’ has received. We look forward to many more milestones with this franchise, and from other projects that we are presently working on with Rohit to entertain global audiences.”

The film is all set to become Ajay Devgn’s highest overseas grosser of all time. The goodwill of the previous parts has helped Golmaal Again to perform much better in the international circuits compared to Ajay’s previous films like Son of Sardaar and Singham Returns.
