It is not exaggeration if we say 2.0's audio launch is one of biggest events in the history of Indian cinema. Helmed by Shankar the film has Rajinikanth Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson with music by AR Rahman, which is being unveiled today at Dubai's Burj Park. Here is all you need to know about the event.
The carpet is rolled and the stage is set for 2.0 – a film which brings rajinikanth, akshay kumarand Shankar together. As the clock ticks, the entire world is eagerly awaiting to witness the biggest film event of 2017 – the 2.0 audio launch in Dubai. The makers of the second costliest project in Asia are unveiling 2.0’s music in Dubai’s Burj Park, the first ever audio launch to happen at the event. Even the Dubai government has given its stamp of approval for the festivities to happen. The King of Dubai is also expected to attend the event. Rajini’s close friend and actor kamal haasan might also be present.
The event has been the cynosure of all eyes since the team landed on Thursday and held an international press conference in style. For the uninitiated, here is a quick run up of the events leading to the audio launch.
The Burj Khalifa, one of the most important buildings in Dubai was aglow with the faces of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar as the city prepared itself to host the event.
The entire crew of 2.0 comprising Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, Shankar, amy jackson, AR. Rahman, Raju Mahalingam from Lyca and Producer Subaskar had arrived in the city for the press event.

As always, Thalaivar Rajinikanth stole the press meet a day before, with his trademark humility. When he was asked the reason behind his simplicity, he replied to it saying, “Nobody pays me to act in my real life, so I’m simple,” leading to loud cheers from the members present at the press meet.
Shankar revealed that 2.0 is an Indian film with a global message and also said that while the film is a continuation of Enthiran, the story is completely different.
The film’s album will have three songs, of which two will be unveiled today. The man behind the album, AR Rahman, will perform live at the event with 125 symphony artists.
The event will be telecasted live at all popular malls in Dubai. About one lakh people are expected to watch the event on the LED screens that have been put in place by the filmmakers at the cost of Rs 2 crore. The cost for the entire event has been pegged at Rs 12 crore.
In an grand gesture, skydivers jumped with a poster of 2.0 as part of its promotions. The movie was launched ironically using a hot balloon which floated to Hollyood.
Helmed by Shankar, 2.0 is being completely shot in 3D and has Amy Jackson along with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. The magnum opus is easily the most awaited movie of the season and is expected to hit the screens by January 25.
