Akshay Kumar‘s Toilet Ek Prem Katha will release on August 11 but before that happens his wife Twinkle Khanna has given his fans another reason to cheer for him. The first poster of the actor from the film is out and we are very sure it will get everyone talking about the film. Akshay can be seen riding a cycle at the banks of a river looking very cheerful. His smile is will arrest you immediately. In fact, it will make you smile as well. The film also has a release date now which is April 13, 2018.

Twinkle shared the poster on Twitter saying, “Pad-up and get ready for MrsFunnybones Movies and R. Balki’s Padman -April 13,2018 @akshaykumar @radhika_apte @sonamakapoor @kriarj.” The actress turns producer with this film and it is only fair to cast her husband in the film for many reasons. One because he is a fabulous actor, so she doesn’t have to worry about the performance part. These days, Akshay is putting more emphasis on content than gimmicks and thus, the story of Padman will get a bigger reach. Also, with him onboard, the film will get made in a jiffy and at a budget much lesser than many superstar laced films. So Akshay is the best actor to have in any film these days!

The film is based on Arunachalam Muruganantham who’s revolutionary drive to provide cheap and hygienic sanitary napkins for the women of his villagem has raved and revered. While talking about how Twinkle approached him for his approval to do a biopic on him, Arunachalam had told Mid-Day, “This is not one of those movies that happened in a day or week. It has taken 1.5 years for us to give it a shape. A girl called Twinkle (Khanna) had been chasing me endlessly for rights. She tracked my every move. She desperately tried to reach me when I was in Malaysia and New York. She finally caught me in London. My friends were curious why would Twinkle want to meet me. It was only then I learnt she is Rajesh Khanna’s daughter. I remember telling her, ‘Akshay Kumar has also been trying to get me for the rights.’ She’d laughed and said, ‘Yes, he is my husband.’”
