Imtiaz Ali film’s Jab Harry Met Sejal, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, has finally crossed the Rs 50 crores mark but has shown a major dip in its daily box office collection. The film has been able to mint only Rs 52.90 crores despite an extended weekend, with the Hindu festival Rakshabandhan falling on Monday.

Now, with such a bad start to its weekday, the trade analyst does not expect the film to make much during the weekdays and it is quite possible that the new films would replace SRK’s romantic film.
Jab Harry Met Sejal is Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s second release this year after Raees and Phillauri respectively. The film has massively failed to impress both critics and fans. An indianexpress.com audience reaction report said that most people enjoyed the first half of the film but the second half couldn’t hold fort. It was expected to do much better since the film saw Shah Rukh Khan in the role of a romantic hero again.
Jab Harry Met Sejal was the solo release last week. However, in the coming week it will face competition from Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. The Khiladi of Bollywood is known for delivering films with promising content and earlier this year, his film Jolly LLB 2 had also been one of the biggest openers this year.
