The 18th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards is going to take place over the weekend in New York City. While many Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan have already reached the Big Apple for the grand event, there are a few celebs who are still on their way and Katrina Kaif is one of them.
Katrina left Mumbai city on Wednesday night. Dressed in bright colors, the actress aced the no-make up look. There was ofcourse a lot of media and photographers present at the airport, but Katrina maintained her smile throughout. To be hosted by Karan Johar and Saif Ali Khan, the night will witness some mind blowing performances by Salman, Shahid, Katrina, Alia, Varun and Sushant Singh Rajput. We will get to see it on our television sets on July 16 from 7 pm onwards on Colors.
Speaking about her performance, Katrina had earlier said at IIFA’s press conference, “I’m really excited and looking forward to performing at the IIFA Awards this year. It is such a great platform that not only showcases the celebration of cinema globally, but also it’s a great opportunity for us to reach out to our fans worldwide. I am excited that this year, it is happening in one of my favourite cities – New York!”
Katrina will be celebrating her birthday (16th July) with her family and close industry friends in New York. So, it’s going to be a double celebration for Kat.
