2017 is surely a special year for Akshay Kumar, isn’t it? After being ‘ignored’ by the award juries for nearly a 30-year long decade of his, it’s payback time for Akshay Kumar as he won his first National Award for the Best Actor for his performance in Rustom. Sure, the decision has been fraught with controversies, with many accusing jury chairman Priyadarshan’s friendship with Akshay Kumar as the reason why the actor got the award. However, the point is, Akshay has won, and though he insists that we can take back his award, if we are not happy – we know that’s not going to happen. Apart from the National award win, he also had a decent hit in the first quarter of 2017 with Jolly LLB 2.
With so much great going on his career and life, we expect nothing less from Akshay than to treat his family with some special bonding time. Recently, our photographer clicked Akshay Kumar taking out his wife Twinkle Khanna and his kids for a special family day out. Akshay and Twinkle were dressed quite casually, and it was very interesting to see that Akshay and Aarav wearing identical caps for the occasion.

Akshay Kumar will be next seen in Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, that is all set to release on August 11. Then there is Twinkle Khanna’s debut production, Pad Man, as well as the sci fi bilingual 2.0 that is scheduled to release next year. Till then, let’s hope Akshay gets to have more such family moments to spare from his busy schedule.
