Sony Pictures Entertainment India's LIFE releases
When Hollywood runs out stories to tell, they go into space and scare us with the unproven horrors that lurk in the hidden expanses of the vast universe. In 2017, we are having two Hollywood movies that are aimed to scare us about space, as if we are planning to go there next weekend instead of Khandala. There is Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant, the latest in the Alien franchise, that links the prequel Prometheus with the first Alien movie. But the movie that will come out first is Daniel Espinosa’s Life. which is, going by its trailers, looks like an unusual space trailer. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds and Rebecca Ferguson, the movie tells the story of the six-member crew of the International Space Station that has discovered the first evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars. As the crew begins to conduct research and their methods end up having unintended consequences, the life form proves more intelligent than anyone ever expected.
The new trailer that landed up some time back, may have shown that nearly every character in the movie, including a rat, may not make out of the movie alive. And not just the astronauts, even the people back on Earth are not safe, as seen in one scene where the spaceship is seen hurtling towards our planet.
Sony Pictures Entertainment India’s LIFE releases in India on 24th March, 2017.
Here’s the trailer…
