Karan Johar announced the happy news that he has become father to twins, a boy and a girl today. He has named them Yash and Roohi. We know how attached he was to his late father, so naming his son Yash is the perfect tribute for him. Roohi is also inspired by his mum, Hiroo. Shah Rukh Khan has said during the launch of his book that Karan would make the perfect parent. We know how close Karan was to his father, late producer Yash Johar. In fact, as per a report, he was so devastated after his demise that he planned to shut down Dharma Productions as he did not how to run a company. However, it seems his father had left a letter for him that explained a company’s functioning for his son and Karan abided by that. Today, Dharma Productions is one of the leading production houses in the country and Karan has a kitty of successful films that can make any actor envious.

In his book, he has spoken about family values and the kind of bond he has with his mother. Karan, is an only child and went through that phase when he was confused and depressed due to a number of issues including health. Last year, he spoke about how depressed he was after his father’s death and how he feared for his future. He has often spoke about how his dad was his biggest inspiration. Karan also says he feels his void in his life. His mom Hiroo has been an equal inspiration for him. It is she who taught him not to be happy with being average in life. Many say he has the perfect mother. However, Karan has said that there should not be competition in a relationship.

He said in an interview to DNA, “My mother’s actually my 4am friend. So, even if I am in New York, I can call her to share the nothings of my life, like the fact that I got a chocolate craving that day. I share simple stuff like that.” “I really believe that you know you are really close to a person when you can share the nothings of your life with them.”
