The best of the best: Shahid, Sonam, Alia, Diljit and more pose on the winning issue of Filmfare

The award season is around and the 62nd Filmfare Awards ceremony, presented by the Filmfare magazine, honoured the best Hindi language Indian films of 2016. The ceremony was held on 14 January 2017 and was co-hosted by Kapil Sharma, Karan Johar  and Shah Rukh Khan . The award show will be aired on 18th February 2017

Filmfare magazine honoured the winners by featuring them on the cover page of their winning issue. The cover image had Alia Bhatt ,Sonam Kapoor Shahid Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh. Also seen on the pages inside were Shaban Azmi, Manoj Bajpayee, Rishi Kapoor , Ritika Singh, Nitish Tiwari and Shatrughan Sinha. 

Alia Bhatt won the best actress award. She is seen posing pretty as she sat on a chair posing in her dust pink gown. She wore minimal makeup and her hair in a low ponytail.

Sonam, on the other hand, looked sultry in her sheer nude gown. Sonam took home the best actress critics awards for her performance in and as Neerja. Sonam complemented her gown with a soft updo and berry lips.

Shahid Kapoor looked royal in a black wrap around style bandh gala and pyjama. Shahid won the best actor critics for his performance in Udta Punjab. Diljit Dosanjh looked handsome as always in a navy-velvet jacket, with a white shirt and a thin oxblood tie

Shabana Azmi looked elegant in a blue Anarkali style printed gown. She took home the best-supporting-actress award for her role in Neerja. 

Manoj Bajpayee kept is classy in a suit and posed with his best actor critics trophy for his stellar performance in the movie Aligarh. 

Rishi Kapoor was all smiles as he won best supporting actor for the movie Kapoor and Sons. He posed in a grey checks suit. 

Seen in an oxblood gown paired with a leather jacket was best debutant actress female award winner Ritika Singh. 

Taking home the black beauty for best director was Nitish Tiwari for Dangal. He struck a pose in a pair of jeans, cotton shirt and bandh-gala.

Winning the prestigious award of lifetime achievement was Shatrughan Sinha who posed in a royal blue achkan.
