John Abraham to produce six films, of which two will feature him as the protagonist

After delivering two action packed thrillers,Abhinay Deo  's 'Force 2' and Rohit Dhawan s 'Dishoom', last year, speculations have been rife that john Abraham will feature in Anubhav Sinja 's next. While confirmation on that front is still awaited, Mirror has learnt that the 44-year-old actor has joined hands with filmmakers Prerna Arora  and Arjun N Kapoor  to produce half-a-dozen films, of which two will feature him as the protagonist.

We will be producing three Hindi films, two with John in the lead, and three Regional projects, including a Marathi, Gujarati and a Malayalam film. The first film with John has him as a cop in an action-packed thriller. The script is locked following extensive research by the film's team and John himself," informs Prerna, who has previously produced the Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Rustom' and is now collaborating with the Khiladi Kumar again on 'Toilet Ek Prem Katha'.

The first film with John in the lead will roll in July and the director will be announced soon.

While speaking to Mirror earlier (Dec 18, 2015) John had revealed that he'd be announcing two more films in the action genre. "They jokingly call me the 'Last Action Hero' and while there's a lot of tottering and falling in our films; raw, real action is rare. That's what I want to bring back on screen in the coming year. Without being condescending, I can say that my stunts are my special appearance songs," he had quipped.
