Last year, Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao joined hands with the Maharashtra Government for its flagship scheme, Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan. The project aims at making villages in the state drought-free over five years. Aamir also launched Satyamev Jayate Water Cup in 2016, a competition between villages to conserve water.
Ahead of the second edition of the competition, Aamir and his wife have made a music video with the help of team 'Sairat'. The video aims to promote the campaign.
Lead actors of the superhit Marathi film 'Sairat,' Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru - feature in the music video directed by the film's director Nagraj Manjule.
The music is composed by music composer duo Ajay-Atul and lyrics have been penned down by Guru Thakur, with Kiran Rao lending her voice to the song.
Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao launched the music video in Mumbai today. The actor looked quite thrilled as he lauded the efforts of Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Phadnavis towards making the state drought-free.

Talking at the event the 'Dangal' actor said, "For a long time now, Satyamev Jayate's team wanted to do something about the issues related to water. When I narrated the idea to our Respected Chief Minister, I got to know about the flagship program, Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan, which is already in place."

Aamir added, "The CM is really passionate about these issues and wanted to make it a people's movement and that is what we are trying to do. To be honest, I am really nervous about the event but also confident in our efforts"
