Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama, Padmavati, has managed to create much buzz even before it went on the floors. People are lapping up the tiniest update from the movie sets. And now when Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor are close to wrapping up the first schedule of the movie, we have come across another interesting development. It appears Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s favourite Bollywood beauty, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, is also a part of Padmavati.
According to reports, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has written a special song sequence for Padmavati and he could not think of any other actor for the cameo role but Aishwarya. A source close to Mumbai Mirror revealed, “Bhansali spoke to Ash and they both are really keen to make it work. The song will be filmed during a 15-20 day schedule, which includes rehearsals at a suburban studio. Ash also has a few dialogues.”
So can we expect a dance-off between Aishwarya and Deepika just like Aishwarya-Madhuri Dixit’s Dola Re and Priyanka Chopra-Deepika Padukone’s ‘Pinga’? “This will be completely different from anything seen before,” the source added.
Earlier, Aishwarya was supposed to play Mastani in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani but things didn’t work out. Aishwarya has no regrets about not being a part of the magnum opus. Aishwarya and Bhansali teamed up last for Guzaarish in 2010 after which Aishwarya took a long break from Bollywood. Earlier, this actor-director jodi delivered hits like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas.
