Katrina Kaif admires Sushant Singh Rajput's work in MS Dhoni. Well, who doesn't?
Maybe this could be one of the best phases of Sushant Singh Rajput’s life because of how well his film MS Dhoni has been received by the audience. Fan or no fan, you cannot deny the fact that SSR did a phenomenal job in the Neeraj Pandey’s biopic of the ace cricketer. His performance literally left the box office ringing for two weeks straight now. It has raked in a lot of bucks and emerged as the highest grossing biopic beating Farhan Akhtar’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Okay, while we can continue gushing about the film and the actor ourselves, we’ll let Katrina Kaif take centrestage and talk about the actor and how she admires him. So the actress decided to hold a Facebook live months after she made her debut on the social media website. On the same, she was flooded with various questions by fans for which, she got all her answers ready. One such fan did ask her who her favourite actor was from the current lot. To this, the actress gave it a slight thought but quickly answered, it’s Sushant Singh Rajput.
In her Facebook live, Kat stated, “I believe that Sushant was very very good Dhoni, which just released. I met my friend Gattu (Abhishek Kapoor) a few days back, who of course was the director of Fitoor we did recently. And he said that he (Sushant) has done some amazing work. I believe. Congratulations there, to him.” You’re not alone in this Miss Kaif. After his work as MS Dhoni, being the cricketer himself, word is this film has created a whole new image about himself. We already knew of Sushant’s skills as an actor with his past films. However, with Dhoni, he just set new standards not just for other actors but for himself! The film has so far raked in Rs. 116.91 crores at the box office. The film has easily surpassed all the biopics made in Bollywood and become number one
It’s quite interesting to see that Katrina chose to take Sushant’s name as we’ve barely seen any kind of connect these two have. Apart from our polls of actors Katrina Kaif should date (that did have SSR), there has been almost not affiliation shared between Kaif and Rajput. But the fact that she mentioned his name and stated that she does admire him a lot speaks volumes of how well word has spread about his performance. A little digressing from the topic but would these two look refreshing and lovely onscreen? We’ve seen Katrina strike up some craze chemistry with the younger actors like Aditya Roy Kapur and Sidharth Malhotra so it would be quite a spectacle to see Sushant and Katrina romance up onscreen.
We anyways are seeing Sushant make the most of his chemistry with all his ladies so probably this one will touch our hearts too! That’s a farfetched thought.
