Priyanka Chopra to co-host UN's Global Citizen Festival in New York
Priyanka Chopra will share the stage with popular TV host Seth Meyers, and actors Neil Patrick Harris and Salma Hayek Pinault among others.
Adding to her illustrious list of feats, actress Priyanka Chopra is now all set to turn host for this year's Global Citizen Festival.
The high-profile music festival that made its debut in 2012, was established to mark United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals that are broadly aimed at ending global poverty by 2030.
To be held at New York's Central Park on September 24, 2016, the festival's lineup is rather star-studded with performers like Kendrick Lamar, Metallica, Rihanna, Major Lazer, Usher, Ellie Goulding, Selena Gomez among many more on board.
Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin who is the festival's Creative Director for the next fifteen years, will also make an appearance at the Global Citizen Festival.
And hosting this immensely star-studded night will be our very own, Priyanka Chopra who will share the stage with popular television host, Seth Meyers, actors Neil Patrick Harris and Salma Hayek Pinault among others.
Sharing the news with her fans, Priyanka Chopra tweeted a picture of herself alongside singer Usher and captioned it, "So fun "ushering" in the day with you! Lol! Super proud to be hosting #GlobalCitizen with @Usher and so many others!"
Free passes for the festival can be attained by getting involved in certain charitable activities and by signing petitions aimed at realising the Sustainable Development Goals.
