Ganesh Chaturthi festivities have begun!
It's that time of the year when the devotees of Lord Ganesha welcome Bappa in their homes. Each of them have their own choice of decoration that makes the atmosphere all celebratory. The everyday aartis, the chants of Ganpati bappa morya, and of course the various delicacies are an inseparable part of the festivities. We already shared with you pictures of Shilpa Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Arpita Khan and many other celebrities welcoming Lord Ganesha at their homes. Here's a fresh batch of inside pictures from the homes of Nana Patekar, Govinda, Karanvir Bohra and Karan Tacker.
Nana Patekar has been celebrating the festival for about 45 years now. For him these 10 days are the most important days of his life. Talking about the festival in an interview with HT, Nana had said, I live on a very frugal diet. There is no non-vegetarian food cooked in the house, and there is absolutely no question of smoking and drinking during these 10 days, which are the most important days of the year in my life.
Govinda, Karanvir and Karan all looked splendid in their pictures as they celebrated the day 1 of the grand festival with their families. Govinda had wife Sunita, daughter Tina and Varun Sharma among others joining the aarti. Karan Tacker spent quality time with his mother, father and sister.
