Rajkumar Hirani gives an interesting update on the third Munnabhai film and it will surely make you jump with joy

Rajkumar Hirani gearing up for the release of Sanju, the biopic on Sanjay Dutt, which stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, Needless to say, many are looking forward to the film. But every time he gives an interview, there is one question that he is asked without fail which is, ‘What’s happening with the third Munnabhai film?’. The two Munna Bhai films – Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai, both of which starred Sanjay, Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani are one of the favourites. But guess what? Raju and his co-author, Abhijat Joshi, who have written both the Munnabhai films have started working on the script of the third movie in the franchise.

Talking to Outlook, Hirani, who made his debut with 2003’s Munna Bhai MBBS, said after working a lot on the script, they have finally found something interesting. “We wanted to do the third Munna Bhai film and even wrote a lot of it, but we were not able to match the script with the first two. Now, I have found something, though we still have to write it,” he was quoted. 

Raju also talked about the success of both the films as he said, “We were all new and naive at the time. While we were filming Munna Bhai MBBS, we didn’t think we were doing some kind of mainstream cinema. I only knew that I was doing a different kind of cinema. More than its commercial success, it fetched us a lot of love and affection from people. I was happy that my family and friends saw it. That joy itself was enough. Never in my life had I thought of anything like this.” So that’s some really good news there.
