It was only yesterday, we revealed to you first that Salman Khan’s upcoming film Bharat will have Priyanka Chopra as part of the cast! And now it’s offical! Priyanka Chopra will be joining the much anticipated film, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. We bet fans are psyched about this combo reuniting after nearly a decade. Their last film together was Salaam-e -Ishq. With this announcement, fans have too many reasons to be excited – Priyanka’s return to Bollywood and this good looking duo’s reunion! Bharat will mark Salman Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar’s third film. With their last two films being super duper hits, we can’t wait for them to score a hattrick.
Bharat officially went on floors yesterday. Ali Abbas Zafar took to social media to tease us with the first glimpse of the much talked about film. “And it begins “Bharat” @BeingSalmanKhan . For those who don’t know Bharat is a remake of a South Korean film – An Ode to my Father – “That film came to me from Salman himself. He gave me the film and said he really likes it and asked me to watch it. I saw it and really liked it. (But) You can’t make the film exactly how it is in the original. The socio-political scenario affects your story and the character. But I liked the basic crux of the film.” revealed Ali while speaking with PTI.
As mentioned, the Hindi remake will be set against the India-Pakistan partition. The film’s remake rights have been bought by Salman Khan’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri. This film reportedly revolves around a boy who made a promise during the Korean War, With Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, Ali Abbas Zafar coming together, the mvoie boasts of a stellar cast. Now awiating an announcement on whether Katrina Kaif would be joining them too.
