Save the date – May 8 is when Sonam and Anand will be tying the knot! From what we hear, it’s going to be an intimate affair held at a heritage bungalow in Mumbai with just close friends and family. However, the sangeet and reception is going to be a rather grand one with who’s who of Bollywood in attendance, held on the same night of the wedding day.
If you remember, just recently in an interview Sonam had spoken about how she wants to keep her wedding low key. “I think the whole idea of a marriage is more appealing to me than a wedding. I think there is too much money spent; it’s all very crass, and I would rather give that money away. I’d rather have a wedding at home than anywhere else. I think it’s important to do all the rituals, but I don’t believe in spending all that money, I find it disgusting and very wasteful, and I’m not okay with that at all,” said Sonam without mincing words. Guess that’s exactly the plan she’s sticking to.
