Dulquer Salmaan and Irrfan Khan have completed shoot for Karwaan.
This year is special for the Dulquer Salmaan fans as the Malayalm superstar is all set to make his Bollywood debut. He is set to star in Akarsh Khurana’s first film titled – Karwaan. The film has an interesting cast lined up – There’s Dulquer, Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar who also happens to be making her silver screen debut. AS per reports on Mumbai Mirror, the cast and crew has called it wrap on the film. Karwaan is touted to be a slice of life kind of movie. The story goes one of them is forced to go on a road trip and he asks his friend to accompany him. On the way, they pick up another of their friends. The film is about discovering ecah other as they spend day in and out together. Considering the intriguing cast, the movie promises to be an adventure!
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Akarsh reveals that it was his associte producer who suggested Dulquer’s name. “We met in the lobby of a Chennai Hotel for the narration and by then I knew this guy was a star but he had no airs. Also, he was nothing like Charlie or any of his other characters which made me realise his range as an actor.” He also revealed that Dulquer who was a big Irrfan Khan would look up to him. He talked about the chaos that erupted in Kerala on setes. One of the fans even climbed on his shoulders to take pics. Another time, they were shooting with 300 girls in Ooty. The girls couldn’t stop cheering. While it was assumed, they were going gaga over Dulquer, it was irrfan that was greeted by a loud cheer!
The film is set to release on June 1st, 2018. The movie is all likely to clash with Sonam Kapoor- Kareena Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding.
