The rumour mills in Tollywood have been working overtime in the past few days saying Lady Superstar Nayanthara has opted out of Chiranjeevi’s upcoming historical period drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. However, when we got in touch with our close sources, they have completely denied the rumours. Nayanthara is very much part of the project and will start shooting for her portions soon.

The magnum-opus which revolves around the story of Kurnool-based freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy is currently progressing at a brisk pace in Hyderabad. The team has already completed the first schedule and is heading towards the next leg of shoot already. The project which started rolling last month is being directed by Surender Reddy of Kick and Dhruva fame. Ram Charan produces the film on a lavish budget of Rs 150 crore.

Once the second schedule of the film kickstarts in February, Nayanthara will start shooting. She had a great 2017 in Tamil by ending the year on a high note with social drama Aramm directed by Gopi Nainar and the high-budget film Velaikkaran directed by Thani Oruvan fame Mohan Raja, where she co-starred with Sivakarthikeyan.

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy features an all-star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kichcha Sudeep, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Jagapathi Babu in prominent roles. Bachchan is said to be playing the role of Chiranjeevi’s mentor in the film in an extended cameo, and Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as Chiranjeevi’s trusted aide.

The team is currently in talks with a bevy of composers to score the music for the film since AR Rahman opted out of the project due to prior commitments. Composer Thaman is said to be the leading choice to bag the movie.
