Why was Salman Khan missing from Ali Abbas Zafar's birthday bash?
Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai director, Ali Abbas Zafar celebrated his 38th birthday yesterday and the occasion certainly called for a celebration. Ali had organised a birthday bash for all his close friends from the industry that was attended by Katrina Kaif, Varun Dhawan, Vaibhavi Merchant, and Atul-Alvira Agnihotri. Katrina, who’s extremely fond of Ali, was accompanied by his younger sister, Isabelle Kaif, and the sisters added to the glamour quotient of the evening. And just in case you’re wondering if Salman Khan was a part of this bash, then the answer is no. The actor is currently busy shooting for Race 3 and guess that’s the reason he decided to ditch the party.
Dressed in a pretty pale pink body con dress, Katrina Kaif looked flawless even with minimal makeup. Pairing the dress with beige coloured wedges, loose hair and nude lips, Katrina kept her #OOTN extremely chic and simple. It was after a really long time that the actress was snapped opting for this silhouette that flatters her hot bod. Usually she picks anything that’s flowy and easy-breezy these days. Honestly, it was a delight to see her in such a subtle yet hot avatar and we have no qualms in saying that we had eyes only for her. But we are curious to know the reason behind the mehendi on her feet. Is it for her role in Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan? Nevertheless, we wish she would have covered it by opting for shoes instead. It’s distracting in a way. Katrina’s sister, Isabelle, who plans on making her debut in Bollywood soon, is an ardent fashionista, just like her sister. We have loved all her fashion appearances so far and we hope she continues to impress us. Dressed in a black off-shoulder crop top with matching pants and nude heels, Isabelle proved why black is always right and how you can never go wrong with it. Trust us when we say this – the Kaif sisters are going to rock Bollywood like the Kardashians did in Hollywood.
Though Salman Khan missed the bash, actor Varun Dhawan made sure to fill in on his behalf. Varun, who’s currently shooting for October, was present with Katrina to celebrate Ali’s special day, and we hope the duo comes on board for another project. Dressed in a cool white shirt with sky blue t-shirt. blue jeans and black boots, his casual look has got us rooting for him.
Ali Abbas Zafar will be next seen directing Salman Khan in Bharat which will release on Eid 2019. The movie is produced by his elder sister Alvira and Atul Agnihotri. The film is a remake of the Korean film, Ode To My Father, and will showcase the actor’s journey from 18 to 70. Though we are yet to find out the name of Salman’s leading lady, we are aware that his look will be inspired by his debut film Maine Pyar Kiya with the help of VFX.
