Touted to be a technology-based thriller, the film features Vishal, Samantha and Action King Arjun in lead roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing music for this film, which has cinematography handled by George C Williams of Kaththi and Theri fame and editing by Ruben.
Over the last one month, the entire shoot has been happening without any break and has been successfully completed now. With the post production work in full swing, the audio and trailer release will be happening shortly. The film will have a worldwide release in January 2018. The teaser which was launched on December 27th will hit the YouTube today.
At the teaser launch event, Vishal had said, “I’m very thankful to Arjun sir for playing the villain in the film. I started my career as an assistant director to him. He was the one who motivated me to act in the lead role in Chellamae (Vishal’s debut film). There’s a riveting stunt sequence in the movie, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. When we were standing opposite each other for combat, I realized how life had become a full circle for me. We both never expected to lock horns with each other. The last thirty minutes of the film will be fantastic.”
Directed by PS Mithran and produced by Vishal’s home banner Vishal Film Factory, Irumbu Thirai is slated to hit screens on January 26 for the Republic Day weekend.
