Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's Tiger Zinda Hai continues to dominate the domestic box office, even on day 7!
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif‘s Tiger Zinda Haiis continuing its magical run at the domestic box office. After breaking several records already, the film remained steady on day 7 to end the first week on a high. In fact after raking in Rs 15.42 crore on day seven, the film has now managed to enter the prestigious Rs 200 crore club in the first week itself. The total box office tally for the film is currently Rs 206.04 crore. But with Tiger Zinda Hai still getting such a fantastic word of mouth publicity, we expect the film to continue raking in the moolah and enter the elite Rs 300 crore club soon. As trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed on Twitter, “And #TZH hits a DOUBLE CENTURY. #TigerZindaHai is on fire, Emerges an OUTRIGHT WINNER. Now eyes Rs 300 crore Club. Fri Rs 34.10 crore, Sat Rs 35.30 crore, Sun Rs 45.53 crore, Mon Rs 36.54 crore, Tue Rs 21.60 crore, Wed Rs 17.55 crore, Thu Rs 15.42 crore. Total: Rs 206.04 crore. India biz.”
Apart from entering the Rs 200 crore club, Tiger Zinda Hai has also emerged as the highest Bollywood grosser of 2017, after beating Golmaal Again (Rs 205.67 crore) in just seven days. It has also beaten the lifetime collection of Ek Tha Tiger(Rs 198.78 crore) to become the highest grosser of the franchise!
Being the sequel to a hit film like Ek Tha Tiger(2012) with such a wide release and a fantastic pre-release buzz, Tiger Zinda Hai was always going to perform well at the box office. But the fantastic story line gave the film a bigger boost.
