Rajinikanth postpones the dubbing of Kaala for his fans – read to know more

The megastar of the entertainment industry Rajinikanth wrapped the shooting of his upcoming gangster crime drama Kaala in the last month. The dubbing of this film started in full swing at the famed Knack Studios in Chennai but the megastar has given a miss to this as he is busy with six-day long fans meet which had started from December 26 and will go on till December 31. The 67-year old actor will start the dubbing of his part in the next month. In Kaala, which is rumoured to be a Hindi-Tamil bilingual film, Rajinikanth is essaying the part of a slum-lord-turned-gangster and will also have his lines in Marathi and Hindi as the film is predominantly shot in Mumbai.

Kaala marks the second collaboration between director Pa Ranjith and Rajinikanth after last year’s Kabali. The film is produced by Rajinikanth’s son-in-law and actor Dhanush and it also features  Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil, Pankaj Tripathi and Samuthirakani in key roles. The story of Kaala revolves around the lives suppressed Tamilians in Mumbai who fight for their equality and rights.

Earlier, the film was planned to release on Rajinikanth’s birthday i.e. on December 12 this year but due to some unknown reasons, it has been pushed ahead to June or July 2018. The makers have spent Rs 5 crore to create the replica of Dharavi slums to shoot a crucial scene in the film. The music of the film is composed by Santosh Narayanan, while the editing will be done by National award Sreekar Prasad. Rajinikanth also awaits for the release of 2018’s highly anticipated film 2.0 (Robot 2). The film marks the Tamil debut of Bollywood Khiladi Akshay and also features Amy Jackson, Directed by Shankar, the sci-fi flick is set to hit the screens on April 27.
