One of the most awaited weddings in Bollywood finally took place and the year ended on a happy note. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s relationship was one of the closely guarded ones in recent times but their pictures would always go viral. This hush-hush affair left us impatient for the two to tie the knot and officially declare their relationship. Little did we know, that the two would jet off to Italy in December, to an exquisite vineyard and take the Saath pheras. While we earlier had trouble believing the news, in no time adorable wedding pictures of the two were all over the internet as the two became husband and wife. Post the fairytale wedding, the couple headed to Finland for their honeymoon. Anushka shared their first picture from the trip and we couldn’t stop gushing about it. The snowy place they chose for their honeymoon was as dreamy as it gets. Post this the couple finally returned to India and held a reception for their family and close friends in Delhi. 

Anushka was seen donning a red Benarasi saree from the by-lanes of Pili Kothi in Benaras. This royal attire by Sabyasachi became the talking point of the town in no time. Anushka is known to be a casual dresser so her bride look took us by surprise. The actress opted for a traditional attire where she wore a flaming red Banarasi saree with the typical red bindi, sindoor and mogras in her hair. This was not it. Anushka opted to wear heritage uncut diamond choker and jhumkas from the Sabyasachi Bridal Jewelry collection which was the perfect pick for her reception.

After leaving everyone stunned with her attire at the Delhi reception, Anushka dolled up for the star-studded reception in Mumbai. Bollywood celebs like Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karan Johar, Priyanka Chopra and many other arrived to give their blessing to the newly married couple. While Anushka was seen donning the bridal red color last time this time she opted for a shiny golden number. Hand beaten silver thread, textured sequins and cut organza flowers were assembled on an embroidered tulle base to create an ethereal lehenga. The Bengal tiger belt on the lehenga is something you cannot miss. Anushka’s look was accessorised with a necklace and earrings hand crafted with rose cut diamonds, solitaires and briolettes from the Sabyasachi fine jewelry collection.

While Anushka’s Delhi reception attire was bold and jazzy, her Mumbai reception was more subtle and shimmery. We totally love how she has opted for two very different looks for both the receptions and it’s something all to-be-brides can bookmark and take style cues from.
