And matching up to him in this fashion race is his wifey Mira Rajput who is known for opting chic styles and pulling them off with her signature enviable aplomb.

Jumping aboard the style bandwagon, wifey Mira Rajput too has been treading quite well on the fashion scene. For the last night’s reception party, Shahid Kapoor opted for a self printed black jacket with matching trousers and shoes. Coming to Mira, she looked pretty in a blue and silver indo – western attire with statement jewellery and pinned up hair. On the work front, Shahid Kapoor is waiting for the release of his next historical drama, Padmavati and will start shooting of Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu. And from what we hear, Mira has approved the movie’s script. A source revealed to the daily, “Mira absolutely loved the Batti Gul script and after she read it, she told Shahid that this was the film for him. She believes in the script and Shahid, who also took keen interest in the project then, immediately decided to sign it.”
