The festival of Diwali is all the more joyous if one celebrates it with their family and that is exactly what the Bachchan family did this year. They decided to not celebrate it with much pomp and the primary reason for that has to be out of respect for aishwarya raiBachchan’s father who passed away in March 2017. The festivities were toned down but the family had a small puja and amitabh bachchanshared the pictures from the same on his Twitter.
Amitabh Bachchan recently celebrated his birthday with his family in Maldives and even that was not a fancy affair. The family spent time with each other on a quiet vacation but decided not to throw a party.
Amitabh Bachchan wished his followers a Happy Diwali earlier in the day. And in the evening he shared pictures from the Lakshmi puja with the caption, “T 2585 – दीपावली की अनेक अनेक शुभकामनएँ , स्नेह आदर और प्यार !🙏🙏” (Wishes for Deepavali, affection, respect and love).
He shared another image of the whole family including Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aradhya Bachchan. He mentioned in the caption, “T 2585 – दीपावली की शुभकामनाएँ , शेन आदर !!🙏🙏” (Wishes for Deepavali, affection and respect).
The festival of Diwali was celebrated on October 19 but this entire week is considered to be holy and the festivities are still continuing.
