Rajinikanth And Nana Patekar Battle It Out In Kaala Kalikaaran
Although rajinikanth won’t have a release this year, there is enough reasons for excitement as he has begun shooting for his 164th film – Kaala Kalikaaran in full swing! He plays a Tamil don Mumbai, that explains why the superstar had arrived in Mumbai to shoot for the gangsta film. Several pics form the shooting site were leaked online. From the looks of the pics Rajinikanth has ditched his suits for mundu and Kurta this time. It’s going to be a thara mass look and he’s rocking it! This film will mark Pa Ranjith and Rajinikanth’s second collaboration. Dhanush’s produciton house – Wunderbar Films will be bankrolling the project. Santhosh Narayanan of Nerruppu Da fame will be compsoing the music for this movie.
The surprise addition to the cast was Huma Qureshi who will play Zareena, Rajinikanth’s love interest in the film. The other big surprise was Nana Patekar‘s inclusion! Earlier reports suggest, his role will be crucial. Now it is confirmed that he will play the lead antognist, stated an HT report. He apparently plays a politician who takes on Rajinikanth head on. A face-off with yet another Bollywood hero in the same year.
For those who don’t know, Rajinikanth will be locking horns with Akshay Kumar in 2.0. Like Nana Patekar, Akshay Kumar plays the lead antagonist in this film. In fact, he went through a shocking transformation for this role. At the first look launch event, Rajiniaknth ahd even gone to mention that Akshay Kumar is the true hero fo this film. In an EXLCUSIVE interview , Akshay Kumar revealed what made him take up 2.0 – ‘The script, Shankar sir, Rajini sir- the whole combination. And I always wanted to work in South. Heard so much about the professionalism. It’s great to be a part of this kind of a film. It’s been long since I have done a negative role. I played a negative role long back, in a film called Ajnabee. And that’s why I did it.”
