The first look posters of Sanghamithra starring Shruti Haasan, Jayam Ravi and Arya are out!
Cannes 2017 is extra special for Shruti Haasan, Arya and Jayam Ravi as their next mega budget film – Sanghamithra will be launched at this renowned film festival. While the official launch is yet to happen, the first look posters are here! One poster features Shruti Haasan as the warrior princess, she happens to play the titular character. It looks regal and grand in every sense! Right form the costume to the theme to her stance, everything about this poster is larger than life. Clearly, Sanghamithra is not going to be anything but an ordinary film. The makers have treated us to not just one, but two posters. The second one totally has Pirates of Carribean feel to it! It’s going to be one historical adventure! Sabu Cyril will be the art director for this film! WE are too excited, considering his last project was the world famous Baahubali. This project is touted to be one of the most expensive projects of Kollywood. It will be helmed by Sundar C and bank rolled by Sri Thenandal Films.

As part of the press release for Cannes, the plotline of Sanghamitra was released – Sanghamitra is a tale which goes back to 8th century AD. telling the trials and tribulations of the protagonist Sanghamithra, whose beauty is unparalleled and her journey to save the kingdom. It’s the story of many kingdoms, many equations, many relationships told in an ambitious, larger than life, visually extravagant manner. Sanghamithra is aimed at the being the crown jewel of Tamil films, an ode to the oldest language in the world. While this is a piece of fiction, there are unexplored chapters in India’s ancient History whichc will be opened through Sanghamitra in the most visually beautiful manner. Sanghamithra is a film which will be told in two parts.
The actors involved in the project have taken to hardcore training. They are learning sword fighitng, horse riding and other skills required for this roll. This is going to be one epic historical drama!
So what are your thoughts on Sanghamitra? It has made a great first impression, hasn’t it?
