Salman Khan's Tubelight is the biggest release of 2017 after Baahubali 2. Every year his films are the most anticipated ones because he promises riches Bollywood rarely gets to enjoy. It is only obvious for other films trying to cash in on the Salman storm at the box office and this time, the actor has selected Ajay Devgn's Baadshaho and Shah Rukh Khan's film's trailers for Tubelight. Now let us tell you why he said yes to these films and not the others. Trust us, he was flooded with offers and these are the only two he picked.
A source told , "Ajay had spoken to Salman about attaching Baadshaho's trailer with Tubelight many months ago. Khan had readily agreed because their friendship has been intact since forever now. He will never say no to Ajay. Shah Rukh Khan's proposal came much later. And since they are best of friends, Salman agreed to get the trailer of his film along too." So that's how two of Salman's best friends managed to get their films' trailers included in the film. After all, Salman never says no to the people who are close to him.
SRK and Ajay have both bagged a great deal here. Tubelight will be released in a huge number of screens. All Salman's films get huge releases. Bajrangi Bhaijaan got 4000 screens while PRDP had 4500 screens. With such numbers, you can only amplify your reach. Imagine how much views will the trailers receive across the country. Nothing can get better than this. For Shah Rukh, it's a big win because his film is pitted against Akshay Kumar's Toilet Ek Prem Katha on August 11. A trailer release with Tubelight will only give it the right push. As for Baadshaho, Ajay gets a chance to present the look of his film to probably the most number of audience at any theatre. That's because a Salman Khan film always gets the maximum footfalls.
But looks like Salman Khan is in no mood to pick between his two friends as the team has decided to attach trailers of both the films to Tubelight.
Confirming the development, Amar Butala, the CEO of Salman's banner, told a leading daily, "The makers of both films have approached us, and we have decided to attach the two trailers with our film."
While Baadshaho is a fictional story set against the backdrop of emergency in India (21-month period between 1975 and1977),
Shah Rukh and Anushka Sharma-starrer – directed by Imtiaz Ali, is a love story that showcases the actor as a tourist guide and Anushka, a Gujarati girl.
To talk of Tubelight, the film tells the story of an Indian man falling in love with a Chinese girl during the 1962 Indo-Chinese war. Written by Neelesh Misra, the film is being produced by Salman Khan, Kabir Khan and Sunil Lulla.
