Since the time it was announced that Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 will feature ‘Tango & Cash‘ i.e Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell fans went into the state of frenzy. While the role of Kurt Russell was revealed to be that of ‘EGO – The Living Planet’ fans were eager to know about his look in the film and the latest trailer revealed that, in what turns out to be a Darth Vader-isque “I am your dad Peter.” Unlike his comic book counterpart, where EGO is an actual planet, the film had Kurt Russell in humanoid version. After the big reveal, fans were looking forward to the role of Sylvester Stallone.

In an interview with Yahoo! Movies, James Gunn spoke about the character of Sly. He said, “I think people will find out very, very soon. Look for clues and you will find out the character Sylvester Stallone plays.”

The director said that Stallone recently went in to re-record some dialogue and added, “He’s a fantastic character. It’s a very important part of the Marvel cosmic universe.”

Gunn then spoke about the experience of making the film with his childhood heroes. He stated, “When I was a little kid I ran around the backyard pretending I was Snake Plissken or Johnny Rambo. Now I’m working with Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone who were icons to me as a child. I worked with Kurt for 80 days, now he’s ‘Kurt.’ But Sly, we worked for a few days on set… The guy cracks me up. He’s a very, very funny guy and we have a good time together..

The original guardians, Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon and Baby Groot are joined by new members in Yondu, Mantis and Nebula. When released in 2014, the first part of the film took everyone by surprise with its humour and execution. The space outlaws were instantly loved by everyone and the film earned big money at the worldwide box office. It was everything that MCU is known for, yet it was a like a breath of fresh air in the superhero genre. The film stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Racoon and Vin Diesel as Baby Groot. Also, I’ve said it earlier and I’ll say it again, Bradley Cooper’s voice over is one of the best I’ve heard and there is no one who can match him.
