One of the best and most talked about moments in Karan Johar’s last release, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, was that two minute cameo of Shah Rukh Khan, who played Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s ex-husband in the movie. The scene had Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya having a conversation where they discuss lost chances and the power of one-sided love. Shah Rukh Khan‘s dialogue about ek tarfa pyaar still remains the highlight of the movie, and one of the best dialogues of 2016.
Seeing the dynamics between Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor in the movie, there have been rumours that Karan Johar has signed both of them as the lead in their next. But as per a news in Pinkvilla, a source close to Dharma Productions dismissed the rumours as false. The person said, “It’s a dream cast but unfortunately it’s not true. The rumours are baseless. Ranbir is doing only one film for Dharma as of now and that is Ayan Mukerji’s next.”
That Ayan Mukerji movie happens to be Dragon, the superhero project that also has Alia Bhatt in the lead, and he will begin shooting for the movie soon. There is also the Sanjay Dutt biopic that is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, for which he is currently shooting for. Shah Rukh Khan is currently doing only two movies – Imtiaz Ali’s Rehnuma and Aanand L Rai’s untitled dwarf film, along with a cameo in Salman Khan’s Tubelight.
