Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt‘s Badrinath Ki Dulhania has been rock steady at the box office since it released on March 10. In the meantime, several movies have come and crashed, but Varun and Alia’s film has continued to rake in the moolah. After a fantastic second weekend, Badrinath Ki Dulhania has continued its magical run at the box office during the second week too. On Tuesday, the movie managed to collect another Rs 2.45 crore, to take its overall tally to Rs 96.39 crore in 12 days. Talking about the detailed collection, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#BadrinathKiDulhania is ROCKSTEADY… [Week 2] Fri 4.21 cr, Sat 5.90 cr, Sun 7.45 cr, Mon 2.72 cr, Tue 2.45 cr. Total: Rs 96.39 cr. India biz.”

It is commendable that Varun and Alia’s Badrinath Ki Dulhania is still running strong at the box office. With films like TrappedMachineAa Gaya Hero and Beauty and the Beast hitting theatres last Friday, we expected Badri to see a dip. However, it was rock solid and has continued to rake in the moolah. This has all been possible courtesy the strong content and the positive reviews by the critics as well as the audience.

Our reviewer, Rashma Shetty Bali, had mentioned in her review, “Badrinath Ki Dulhania is a movie that you can enjoy with family and friends.” Popular film critic Anupama Chopra also mentioned in her review how she “was smiling through the film.” The audience also mentioned how the movie is a fun watch, with some fantastic performances. All this helped give the movie a push that it deserved. Check out what the audience had to say in the public review right here:

With Anushka  Phillauri and Swara Bhaskar’s Anaarkali of Aarah releasing this Friday, Badrinath Ki Dulhania should see a drop. But trade expert, Akshaye Rathi (exhibitor and distributor), feels that it will still continue to rake in the money. As he mentioned, “Yeah, with limited screens, it (BKD) will continue its run. It has done well over the second weekend, so exhibitors will hope of getting some more returns over the third weekend.”
