Karan Johar wants to remake the Marathi blockbuster film Sairat in Hindi and has apparently bought its rights too. Now, who can star in it?

If reports are to be believed, Karan Johar has bought remake rights to the Marathi film, Sairat. The Marathi blockbuster film will apparently be remade in Hindi and that too under Karan’s Dharma Productions banner. It seems that Zee, the original producers of the regional film, will co-produce the film along with Dharma. Well, adding more to the details, we also came to know that this remake will feature a fresh cast, as did the original. And this got us excited!But who will be Sairat cast? Any Bollywood star kid? A few faces who are speculated to enter Bollywood via a Dharma film are Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Khan, Shahid Kapoor’s half brother Ishaan Khattar and Sridevi’s elder daughter Jhanvi Kapoor. Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli’s name has also been mentioned but the youngster is busy pursuing her studies at present.

The same status quo applies to Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan. We are taking his name as Karan Johar has often expressed his love and admiration for SRK’s eldest son, Aryan. So much so that the filmmaker even declared once that he would be the one to launch Aryan in Bollywood.

While the buzz is strong, Dharma is yet to confirm the Hindi remake. Reports read that while the basic storyline will remain the same, the film will be slightly reworked to suit the tastes of the pan-Indian audience

Sairat, starring Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar, had a terrific run at the box office. The film, which became the first film in the language to enter the Rs 100 crore club, had received praises from all across. Filmmaker Karan Johar too has lauded this Marathi film.

Karan seems to have loved the film a li’l more than others. Earlier, when Karan had praised the film, he had tweeted, “Still reeling from the tremendous impact of Sairat…saw it last night and woke up with a heavy heart and so much respect for the film.”

Sairat, which released on April 29, got a lot of critical acclaim for the portrayal of the relationship between two youngsters who faced several challenges before eloping from the village.
