Avengers Infinity War will be a huge release in South
Cinema owners in Tamil Nadu heaved a sigh of relief when the Kollywood strike was called off after 48 days. The stakeholders came to a positive agreement through the tripartite talks chaired by the state government between Tamil Film Producers’ Council (TFPC), exhibitors and digital service providers yesterday. And it was expected that the movies will start screening from this week itself. When asked if Rajinikanth’s Kaala will release on 27 April, as announced earlier, Vishal, president of Tamil Film Producers’ Council (TFPC) and secretary of South Indian Artistes Association (SIAA),said, “Films will release based on a particular order. We will discuss with all the producers tomorrow and announce it. More importantly, we have formed a release regulation committee to ensure that every week accommodates three releases without any trouble. Both big and small films will get a fair number of screens henceforth.” So while we haven’t heard anything about Rajinikanth’s next, reports about Avengers: Infinity War releasing in South India on April 27 hold true.
Famous film critic, Shreedhar Pillai, took to his Twitter account to reveal how Avengers: Infinity War will be a huge release in South. He wrote, “#AvengersInfinityWar in English, Tamil & Telugu in 2 & 3D on April 27, the biggest ever summer release date in south India. Almost all Theatres in TN want to screen it.” The most anticipated movie in the history of Hollywood cinema is equally big in Bollywood and the South industry. With all major movies in the country planning to avoid a clash with Avengers, it easily makes it the one big movie to watch out for. Also, the fan base for this superhero film is so huge that cinema owners hope to recover all their 48-day losses with just this one release. The movie is expected to shatter box-office records worldwide and give Marvel its biggest and most successful release till date.

Though the pre-ticket sales in India has not opened yet, it has already made a record in Hollywood. Fandango’s (online movie ticket seller) managing editor, Erik Davis, said, “Moviegoers are rushing to guarantee their seats in advance for what is sure to be one of the most talked-about movies of the decade.” While the makers have already teased us by saying that we’ll need lots of tissues, we can’t wait for it to shatter all the records at the box office. Currently Black Panther is the third-highest grosser at the US Box office, after Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Avatar. With Infinity War hitting screens in the coming weeks, we can only wonder if it will shatter all the previously held records and emerge as the most successful superhero movie.
