Salman Khan at Mumbai's Kalina airport
The week finally ended on a good note for actor Salman Khan after he was released on bail by the Jodhpur Sessions Court today afternoon. The actor was convicted in the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case after an eyewitness identified him as the prime accused. After some consistent efforts by his lawyers, Salman was granted bail and released on an immediate basis. He had to spend two nights in jail before the bail verdict was announced in his favour and that made him extremely anxious. He refused to eat anything inside the jail and hoped that the nightmare would end as early as possible. We saw the videos of the star arriving at the Jodhpur airport for his Mumbai bound flight. And now, his recent pictures from the Mumbai airport are out.
Salman arrived in Mumbai a couple of minutes back with his sisters Alvira Agnihotri and Arpita Khan Sharma. The actor will head towards his residence directly and is expected to be away from media for some time. His friends from the industry including Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonakshi Sinha and David Dhawan have already visited his family after the verdict on Thursday and others are expected to meet the actor today or tomorrow.
While Salman is free to resume his shoot for his future movies, he can’t leave the country without court’s orders. The relief is temporary for the actor as the Bishnoi community, who registered the case earlier are unhappy with the bail verdict. They now plan to move to the Rajasthan High Court. Mahipal Bishnoi, the Bishnoi community’s lawyer said to News18 that the 52-year-old actor cannot leave the country without the court’s permission. Khan will also have to be present on 7 May for the next hearing in the blackbuck poaching case.
Coming to his professional commitments, Salman Khan will wrap up the shoot of Remo D’Souza’s Race 3 before starting with Arbaaz Khan’s Dabangg 3 and Alvira Agnihotri’s Bharat.
